Collaboration for change
Able Athletics is proud to announce the launch of our wheelchair sports division, offering unique opportunities for athletes using manual wheelchairs. With a generous grant the Hartford Insurance (through our partnership with Move united), and additional community contributions, we've acquired 14 sport wheelchairs to support specialized programs. Starting with wheelchair lacrosse, we aim to expand to include flag football and other sports currently unavailable to youth chair athletes in our region.
In collaboration with Rippowam cisqua school in bedford, NY, Able athletics will hold consistent programming for youth chair users and their peers.
This unique initiative in our area focuses on bringing joy, empowerment, and community to wheelchair athletes and their peers.
We invite everyone to share this exciting news and welcome interested athletes to join our inclusive and competitive sports environment.
